The proposed
improvements include construction
of a grade separated single point
diamond interchange. Austin Bluffs Pkwy. will pass over Union Blvd. on a
bridge. Entrance and exit ramps will be provided from Austin Bluffs
Pkwy., intersecting with
AM Peak Traffic
Union Blvd. at a single signalized
intersection. Union Blvd.
will be widened at the intersection to allow
double left-turn
lanes and right-turn lanes for traffic
operations.
Three through lanes in each direction
will continue on Union Blvd.
Total estimated project
cost:
$35,504,000 (2005 = $7,511,000; 2006 = $15,000,000; 2007 =
$12,993,000). Estimated project schedule: Final Design/ROW/Bid – May
2005 to November
2006; Construction –
November
2006 to November
2008.
