I-25
Interchange Companion Projects:
Bijou Street Interchange (.pdf);
Nevada/Rockrimmon Interchange (.pdf) ($100,000):
The
Intergovernmental Agreement between the City and Colorado
Department of Transportation (CDOT) allows for the incorporation
of these two projects in CDOT's I-25 Design/Build contract. The
Corporate Drive project will connect Nevada Ave. and Corporate
Dr. including a bridge structure. The Bijou Bridge project will
replace the bridge structure over Monument Creek and the Union
Pacific Railroad including related City street improvements. The
proposed budget includes funds for consultant assistance in
reviewing plans and submissions for these projects by CDOT to
the City for our review and approval.
The
Corporate Dr. work is included in COSMIX – Segment 3. Rockrimmon
Constructors has
completed final
plans for Segment 3. Construction began on Segment 3 in September 2005.
The design work on the Bijou Bridge has begun, with construction planned
for 2007.
Estimated project cost:
$10,300,000 (2005 = $100,000; 2006/2007 = $2,600,000/yr.;
2008/2009 = $2,500,000/yr.)
